Sunday at Adult Forum-Rev. Heather Hammond from the Minneapolis Area Synod will be our guest speaker to explain the Natural Church Development Program to the congregation.   The forum meets at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  All are encouraged to attend.
 
Financial Giving Statements for 2008
have been prepared and are ready to be picked up.  You will find them in alphabetical order at the Information Center.
 
Sign up today
for the Bible study, "Into the World:  The Acts of the Apostles."  The classes
will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 am, Thursdays at 7:00 to 8:30 pm, and Fridays from 9 to 10:30 am.  The cost for this study is $20, and begins this week!

The New Member group
will meet again today at 12:00 to have brunch with council members and other church leaders.  New Member Sunday will be held on January 18.
 
Sunday!  January 11
the Middle school students spend the afternoon at Grand Rio Water Park!  This event is open to all children and families, as well!  We will meet at the church at 12:15 p.m. and car pool up to Grand Rio Water Park for a swim start of 1:00 pm.  We will return by 4:30 pm.  The cost is $9.11 per person.  Can you drive or chaperone?  Please see Deb Meyers or Jackie Lee this morning to let them know, so we can form the car pool.
 
Faith and Hope Circles
are meeting together this month.  The meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, at the home of Kathie Kolbjornsen.
 
Coffee with Don
-January 14, at 9:30 a.m.  The OWLS will gather at Don Peterson's home for coffee, doughnuts and conversation.  Come with a smile and join other Older, Wiser, Lutheran Seniors as they gather for this time of fellowship.
 
New Adult Bible Study begins this Wednesday
.  Pastor Sedlins will lead a six-session study of the Gospel of Mark.  Most of our Gospel texts at worship will be from Mark, so this will pay dividends in understanding throughout the whole year!  The class meets 6:30 to 7:30 in the Fireside Room, beginning January 14.  All are welcome!
 
It's Newsletter time again!
  The deadline for the February Peace Notes is Thurs, Jan. 15.
 
Winter Cabin Getaway!
  All high school youth are invited January 17-18 for an 'Up North' overnight at the Forsberg's cabin.  We will leave from church on Saturday morning and return Sunday afternoon. Activities include skating, sledding, ice fishing, eating and lots of fun!
 
Next week at Adult Forum:
  The Annual Report to the Congregation will be prepared and we meet for the 2009 Budget Review.  Please plan to attend!  The Annual Meeting of the Congregation will be held the following Sunday, January 25, at 9:45 a.m
