At Adult Forum, Handel's Messiah, Nov. 30 - Dec. 21. A hallmark of the Christmas season, Messiah also encompasses Jesus Christ's death and resurrection and the anticipated redemption of the world through faith. This study, however, will focus on the portions of the oratorio appropriate for Advent. The music and lyrics of Messiah will become more meaningful through a clearer understanding of the scriptural basis and musical interpretations of some of its most familiar movements. Please come to any or all of these sessions and expect your faith to be enriched by a deeper appreciation of Handel's monumental composition! Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 a.m., immediately after the Sunday School opening music.
