A collection will be gathered to benefit the IOCP Sleep-Out 2008 following today's service.  Look for the high school youth standing by the doors.

Our Stewardship packets are assembled and ready to be picked up in the narthex.  Packets are labeled with your name. All packets that are not picked up will be delivered to your home. Commitment sheets will be collected during worship next Sunday, November 23.

Middle School Bowling at Medina Lanes on Sunday, November 16 at Noon.  We'll stop at McDonald's for lunch on our way to the bowling alley.  The cost is $7, plus bring money for your lunch.  Sign up on the bulletin board in the front hallway.  Adult helpers appreciated!

Bring Fleece Next Week!  Please join the High School Youth in the fellowship hall, at 9:35 a.m. next Sunday, November 23, to make fleece hats and scarves. All items made will be donated to the Marie Sandvik Center in Minneapolis.  One yard of fleece will make three hats and one scarf.  So bring some fleece and join in this fun and worthwhile activity.  No experience is needed.

Thanksgiving Worship - Wednesday, November 26, at 7:00 p.m.  As Christians, we again gather on the eve of Thanksgiving Day to worship God and consider all for which we are thankful.  Come; join us for dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Confirmation class, High School Oasis and Adult study will not be held.  Children's choirs will meet and Senior Choir will rehearse for one-half hour following the worship service.

The Social Action Committee has posted on the bulletin board a new request from Thrivent Financial.  All monetary donations to our local food shelf (IOCP) that are made in November will be matched.  For every $3.00 we donate, they will donate $1.00.  Check it out!

A Memorial Candlelight Service will be held Thursday, November 20, at 6:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake.  Sponsored by the West Suburban Grief Coalition, the general public is invited to attend.  Following the memorial service is a $7.00 catered dinner.  To make reservations for the dinner, please call 763-478-6875 by end-of-day Tuesday, November 18.  If you are able to attend only the memorial service, please do, and does not require a reservation.  Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 2060 Sixth Avenue N in Long Lake.
