During Education Hour, a new Together In Faith class begins!  The fourth and fifth graders and their parents are invited to study the Apostles' Creed.  Classes meet on October 5, 12, and 19 with our pastors.  Meet in the Activity Room at 9:35 a.m. 

Today at Adult Forum: Discussion on today's Scripture lesson-Jeremiah 31:32-34.

New Members are invited to stay and have brunch at with council members and other church leaders. Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 11:45 a.m. New Member Sunday will be October 12.

Blood Drive this Wednesday.  Still many openings to fill.  New eligibility:  16 year-olds may now donate blood.  Please see a member of the social action committee today following worship.  Or, call Pam Jette at 612-986-5898.

Come to Quilting Day held this week on Thursday, 9 am - 2 pm.  All quilters will meet October 9 for a long session of tying and assembling quilts.  You are invited to join them even an hour or two, as your time permits. A potluck lunch will be shared around 11:30 p.m.  A sign up for food will be on the Social Action bulletin board in the front hall.  Say you'll join us!

OWLS:  come and have dessert and coffee on Thursday, October 9, at Peace.  We'll meet at 7 pm and plan activities for 2009.  Come with your ideas and opinions and help us get organized for next year!!  Questions? Call Betty or Muril Pederson at 473-4987.

Highway 55 Clean-Up-an Event for All Ages!  Meet on Saturday, October 18 at 8:30 a.m. to pick up trash along our section of the highway.  Dress for the weather and bring gloves.  Garbage bags will be provided.  This should only take a couple of hours; the more hands, the lighter the work!  Please say you'll help and sign up on the Youth and Family bulletin board.

Social Action Committee's October Need-of-the-Month:  We're supporting our own Quilting Group this month.  Details can be found in the October Peace Notes.  Fabric donations may be brought to the designated area in the narthex.

Youth event in two weeks:  High School bowling at Medina Lanes, Sunday, October 19, at 11:45 am.  We will stop at McDonald's for lunch before bowling. Cost is $8 plus money for your food.  Invite a friend!  There's a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. 

Daily Devotionals are available for October, November and December.  Choose from The Word in Season, or Christ in Our Home (large print available).  Pick up a copy at the Information Center.
