My overall impression of the festival was that the docs were much stronger than the narrative films-both in competition and in the other sections of the festival.
Now on DVD. I was very moved by this film. All the acting in it was great, too. The film even inspired me to take on more responsibility in my life. I'm not sure if that's what Tyler Perry was going for, but I feel like that's the message that I needed to hear after seeing the responsibility of some of the characters.
