As for whether it was all that avid Harry Potter fans have been waiting for, I'm not the one to ask. But as a casual fan who has enjoyed all the movies to date, I have to say that between its impressive battle scenes, its illumination of several mysteries, and multiple valiant displays of courage and friendship, it sent me away entertained, inspired, and thoroughly satisfied.

I suppose one could characterize The Tree as a ghost story of sorts-not a horror story, or even a light-hearted ghost story like Topper or Beetlejuice, but one in which we never really know if a ghost is there or not.
