Britney: Inside the DreamBritney: Inside the Dream

Detailed and Honest Look
A Raw Look into Britney Spears' World
Brock & DeArmond | Click to Comment

Britney: Inside the Dream is the 2010 biography on the pop princess Britney Spears, and it's written by Steve Dennis. It chronicles her entire life and has a psychotherapist analyze parts of it. It gives a detailed and honest look at what she's been through.

This is a hard book to review because it's so long and so detailed, but that's not a bad thing. It's just hard to break it down and talk about a few parts because there were so many wonderful things in this book.

This book didn't make Britney look bad, if that's what you're wondering. In fact, it even defended her in some parts.

In one part in the book, Steve said that although Britney did do drugs a couple of times, she was not the drug addict the media made her out to be. She did go to rehab, but that's because she was pushed into it because her family had started to believe the media. Very sad, but it's good that he defended her...

The King James Bible
Merely a Bit of Nostalgia?
At Jacob's Well in Need of a Bucket
 06/10/11 | Editorial |  Comment Here

The King James Bible was not created in order to give us a sense of nostalgia, but to open up the scriptures, giving us light in our darkness - water for our thirst. Translation "opens the window," provides "the bucket," and unseals the book.

The Book that Made Your World
The Book of the Millennium
How the Bible Created the Soul of Western Civilization
 06/02/11 |  Reviews | Comment Here

Throughout the book Mangalwadi draws from his own experience in India, and posits why his nation made the progress it did after it was introduced to the Word of God. The Book that Changed Your World is thoroughly researched and well-documented. If its assertions are anywhere close to being right, then - next to the Bible itself - it just might be one of the most important books of this generation.

KJB: The Book That Changed the World
The King James Story
The Amazing Tale of the Birth of the King James Bible

For those who believe in God, and Christianity (and Britain's place in its history), one cannot help but see Providence involved. The uniting of England and Scotland when James took the English throne helped secure the future of Britain. James' interest in a new translation of the Bible united the young Church of England.

Interview with Norman Stone
The Fascinating Drama Underneath the Ancient Dust

The glowing opinions I express in the interview are not in any way intended as flattery, but are my sincere evaluation of the movie. My hope is that I can help this documentary grow some legs, and perhaps bring some unexpected pleasure to those who might, at first look, think this subject must be rather boring.

Interview with Norman Stone Part 2
A Bit of Providence and a Loyal Crew

Last month I had the privilege of talking over the phone with Emmy-winning Director Norman Stone about his latest DVD release, KJB: The Book That Changed the World. In this installment, Stone shares some amusing anecdotes about the making of the documentary.

Christians don't have a corner on the market for God, says South African former archbishop Desmond Tutu. No matter how you believe and practice your beliefs, God is still the God of everyone. Our goal as Christians is simply to live harmoniously, promote peace, and fight injustice.
