A Play Within A Play
Chester Branch

In one sense, the film works as a film within a film or a parable within a larger parable. Snyder shows us the value of working together, being resilient in the face of adversity, and that, as Hamlet put it "the play is the thing."

The 5th Quarter The 5th Quarter

Of Family, Faith, and Football

Jacob Sahms

"The movie almost feels like it makes my parents feel closer to Luke, or brings them healing," says former Wake Forest star linebacker, who's a part of the story told in the new film The 5th Quarter.

"I can't watch it more than once even though they've seen it over and over. It was hard then for me to see Luke donate his organs. Looking back, it was the right decision, and honestly, it wasn't my decision to make. [Luke] checked the box. He was just a giving person who wanted to help out, and his example teaches us not to take life for granted."

SXSW

I am going to be updating my coverage of SXSW 2011 as frequently as possible all week, hopefully every day.

What that will look like will be a brief synopsis of my day and mini-reviews of the films that I see daily.

I will be conducting several interviews but it will take me a little while to get those posted.

Day 9: The Final Day Report
Sound of My Voice and Attack The Block Revisited!

The Ritz Theater is located directly on Austin's 6th Street, also known as party central. I spent my last night of the festival down there, amidst the drunkards and the chaos, to enjoy two last films.

Day 8 Report
5 Films: A Bag of Hammers, The City Dark, Our Day Will Come, The Key Man, The FP

March 18th was my one-day of total film gluttony during the fest. Others might suggest that each day consisted of film gluttony, but actually Friday the 18th was my only five-movie day. And I spent the entire day at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar location in order to avoid the downtown SXSW insanity!

Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Melina Ledman

Now on Blu-ray. Like all VeggieTales films, this movie is chock-full of humor, and yet it is crafted well enough to convey an important message. How can one who has been forgiven call for the justice and judgment of others who are in the wrong?
