Finding good deals for the Holidays
Let's face it: the economy is not our friend entering the holiday season.
And lately, comic book prices have not been our friend either. $3.99 for a 32-page book that, quite frankly, might not be the best story telling is not worth it.
Does this mean the comic industry is doomed? Not so much. The turnaround of having series or story arcs collected into trades (a collection of several books in either a hardcover or paperback) is getting better with some of the major publishers (if you are willing to wait, that is).
Another option is Digital Comics. With technology, it may be affordable to get back into some of your favorite characters, or start exploring new ones. Digital comics are on the rise, and some places offer better deals than others. Marvel offers a monthly subscription to back issues, while DC just recently launched their digital comics store through Comixology (a digital comics provider).
You can download apps to your smartphones or tablets, or even access via the web. Even the Playstation Network has comics (for those who own a PSP or PS3). And the popularity of webcomics (comics on the Internet for free) can have you loving new and upcoming creators that are trying to make it in the business.
Be on the look out for holiday specials from your local comic shops, or even publishers' websites.
With at least four comic book inspired movies coming out next year, and digital comics on the rise, things are looking great for the comic book industry, and we here at HJ Comics are going to do our best in keeping you updated.

I Look Forward to the Series
Most of the book captures some points that reinforce Christ's love for us and his will for our lives. It gives enough story to show how great Christ is, coupled with good artwork. Blue Water calls it The Faith Series.
