Switchfoot Live Nate Watts, Music Editor
It's ridiculous how much stage presence these guys have. I've seen them six times now in concert, and they are still one of my favorite live acts.
I think a big part of it is knowing what a quality group of guys they are, and that they have such solid hearts. Even before the show, my wife and I made friends with a man who was retelling the story of how he and his son had bid on a Switchfoot-signed guitar at a local event and won, and how playing with it once had started rubbing the autographs off. The guys from Switchfoot agreed to let them come backstage before the show, and all the guys resigned it personally for them.
From the moment they took the stage, the energy immediately went up in the crowd, and no one around felt like strangers at all. As lead singer Jon Foreman put it, "We Are One Tonight," and we definitely felt it as the San Diego quintet rocked out to an hour and a half of their hits....

TobyMac
Spanning a nine-year solo career
Since dc Talk parted ways about ten years ago, TobyMac has arguably been the most successful of the trio, as a solo artist.
With four LP's, two remix albums, a live disc, and a Grammy to his name, McKeehan has shown true crossover success, with his music played over video games, TV shows, movies and even sports commercials.
He has also found time to co-pen a few books, as well as take on presidential duties of Gotee Records, which manages bands like Relient K and House of Heroes.
With his new video collection, Moving Pictures, TobyMac has compiled live show footage and music videos for eleven of his biggest hits.

Interview about upcoming major release
Nate Watts | 09/22/10
HJ: Let's talk a minute about your newest disc. What is your favorite or most personal song on the new album?
CA: The song "All the Way to Texas": I have some buddies I go hunting with, fishing with, and grew up playing some ball with. They're not really believers, but they're some of the best guys I've ever met. I remember one guy saying to me "Why would God worry about what I want? Why would he worry about my five hundred dollar a month mortgage payment bill that I'm having trouble making, when there's kids dying, women being raped, hurricanes, Katrina? Why would he even care about my little prayer or me in this little town of one thousand people?" And I wrote this song from the perspective of someone that doesn't read the Bible, and to help him understand that the love of God is so huge and so powerful, but so personal.
HJ: What about the song "Better Today"? I heard that has some special meaning.
CA: That was written, and I actually sang that at my wedding. That's why you hear me say "I'm only just a man, simply made of sand, except when you're by my side," which means I'm better because you're near me; and I've been able to perform it also at a couple of weddings when I'm not on tour and it just resonated with people worldwide and has been my number one selling song... that and "Umbrella (Christ Mix)."
