There are the usual variety of new shows available for your viewing pleasure, in addition to the old faithfuls that you've been checking out over the last few years or checking out for a decade.

I'm not watching ALL of them but here's my quick rundown on the week of television options before you, and a few that I'd highlight for your careful consideration (plus grades for the new shows).

As a Midwesterner from northern Indiana myself, I like the fact that the show is from Indiana. It is written with the average semi-rural American family in mind, and that is rather refreshing with all the shows which take place in large cities.

The Middle is about trying to make ends meet in tough financial times while providing some kind of normalcy for three children...

Lawrence Fishburne showed up at the end of Season Nine as William Peterson's Gil Grissom rode into the sunset and I said I'd never watch again. But I forgot I was up against Morpheus...
