We have just reached Perendale's office from IPE/IFE 2012 Atlanta, USA. Forgetting about jetlag and tiredness we couldn't wait to write and congratulate the organiser of IPE/IFE for a successful and excellent event. With my colleagues to help me promote the International Milling Directory and exhibit for the first time, this last week has been such a good experience. We were very happy to see our advertisers, potential advertisers, readers and new readers, writers and prospective contributors. We definitely will return again next year.
We are now getting ourselves ready for the next up-coming events including Victam Asia 2012, IPACK-IMA and GEAPS. We are promoting our publlications in Asia, Europe and America. We are very much delighted and happy with the developments we have achieved that help to inform our readers in a more timely way and to assist our advertisers in building their brands. We have received a lot positive feedback from people we met during our visit to IPE/IFE. We will work hard not only to report news that's most timely and relevant but to make sure it reaches those who need it most. We will be at Victam Asia 2012 Bangkok, Thailand on stand D011, from February 15, 2012. Come along and learn what we are doing that is different in the way we source and distribute both technical information and new materials. Thai CP Foods sees improved sales after acquisition
Charoen Pokphand Foods, Thailand's largest agribusiness company, expects sales in 2012 to exceed 300 billion baht (US$9.55 billion) (€7.269 billion), boosted by its purchase of a Hong Kong affiliate, its president said. CP Foods agreed to buy 74.2 percent of Hong Kong-listed CP Pokphand Co Ltd (CPP) for US$2.1 billion (€1.598 billion), in November last year.

The 2012 family business award won by JD Heiskell & Co
Tulare's feed miller JD Heiskell & Co, is the winner of the 2012 California Family Business Award. The Hillman family was on hand to accept the award during a ceremony last night presented by The Business Journal. JD Heiskell & Co celebrated its 125th anniversary last year. President and fourth generation family member Scot Hillman said the award just might be the company's highlight of the year.

China bans oil meal from India
China has banned imports of oil meal from India saying it has found traces of a hazardous chemical in some rapeseed meal shipments, the Solvent Extractors Association of India said. Chinese authorities have now excluded India from the list of importing countries, and this will likely hurt India's oil meal exports badly, the trade body said in a statement.
________________________________________________________________ New feed mill opens in the Shandong Province, China Recently a new feed mill was opened in Rushan, Weihei Shandong Province in China. The mill owned by the OSI Group Poultry Development Co, celebrated the grand opening of a new modern mill, with an annual capacity of 600,000 metric tons, the new facility is one of the largest feed mills in operation in China.

EuroTier 2012: Top Event for Agriculture HANOVER, GERMANY - In 2012, the "World Poultry Show", "BioEnergy Decentral" and "Veterinarian Congress" will take place from 13 to 16 November 2012 in Hanover, Germany.
With record figures of over 1,900 exhibitors and 145,000 visitors, EuroTier 2010 set new standards. It was characterized by a positive mood among exhibitors and visitors and put the spotlight on international trends in product innovations and services for animal husbandry. As the organizer DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft - German Agricultural Society) reports, in the coming year EuroTier will be the only international exhibition in Europe for professional animal production that covers all sectors of the industry comprehensively - cattle, pig and poultry farming as well as aquaculture.
The event will be held from 13 to 16 November 2012 at the world's largest Exhibition Grounds in Hanover, thus making it not only the ideal location for business contacts to Eastern and Western Europe, but also the forum for all members of the industry throughout the world The majority of the visitors are decision makers from farming enterprises ready to invest. They are joined by large numbers of industrial buyers, consultants, dealers, veterinarians, and academic and research staff.
"World Poultry Show" - the highlight of the international poultry industry
In 2012 the "World Poultry Show" will again be part of EuroTier. This means that next year EuroTier will be the highlight for the entire international poultry industry. For visitors from the poultry segment, high synergy effects result from the cross-species exhibition sectors at EuroTier, such as for instance feed and feed storage, animal health and HVAC for animal housing, that are presented in a more comprehensive programme here than at any other exhibition.
BioEnergy Decentral
The integration of BioEnergy Decentral into the agricultural setting of EuroTier has been a resounding success. The whole bandwidth of technological developments in the fields of bioenergy, renewable energies, machinery and equipment and concepts addressing all aspects of decentralized energy supply is shown in separate exhibition halls. bpt Veterinarian Congress and "Veterinary Medicine Exhibition" in Hanover
For the third time the bpt (Bundesverband Praktizierender Tierärzte - Federal Association of Practising Veterinarians) will be holding its annual congress and associated specialist exhibition "Veterinary Medicine" at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover overlapping with EuroTier. The record participation by veterinarians at both the bpt Congress and EuroTier at the last event in 2010 clearly underscores the synergies. For veterinarians, both events with their own specific information programmes are indispensable and can be managed efficiently with just one trip.
