IFIF, together with the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), is hosting the 3rd Global Feed & Food Congress in Cancun, Mexico in April. The emphasis of this three-day meeting will be on feed and food safety, food security together with environmental impact of livestock production and the carbon footprint feed production and use has on our planet.

The Congress will review the 'need for feed' as the world's population continues its steady growth towards nine billion people by 2050. The feed industry must take up the challenge of meeting the expected 70% increase in demand for meat over the same period. In Cancun, the industry will take the opportunity to identify areas for further development as well as address environmental considerations which compete with food production - and which may have significant implications for developing countries.

The Congress will attract some 600-700 visitors from throughout Latin America and well as North America, Europe and beyond. Delegates will including leading business professionals in the feed industry, key suppliers to the feed and food chain together with an interested partners in the retail business along with FAO representatives and related groups.
