Effective June 25, 2012, Protective Survivor UL will replace the Protective Centennial Survivor G UL product. Our new Protective Survivor UL rates have decreased by as much as 25% in a variety of issue ages, rate classes and premium funding scenarios.

Our new Protective Survivor UL product may also help with your uninsurable (Table 99) clients. It offers highly competitive premiums for uninsurable applicants with a life expectancy of at least six months.

Compensation: First year target commission on Protective Survivor UL will be the same as Centennial Survivor G UL. However, there will be a slight reduction in commission for first year excess and renewals in years 2-10. Commission for renewals in years 11+ will no longer be applicable. Please contact your Protective Life representative for more details.
Business Transition Rules: Applications received prior to 7/27/12 will be processed according to the accompanying illustration. For states that have approved the new product, please compare the rates to ensure your client receives the best rate possible. Applications received on or after 7/27/12 will be processed using the new rates for all approved states.
Illustration and Quoting Systems (ELI, WinFlex & TeleLife):
Protective Survivor UL rates will be implemented for approved states and will be available for quoting on 6/25/2012. The old Centennial Survivor G UL rates will be removed from the systems for all approved states on 7/27/2012. States will be added as they are approved.
Product Availability: The Protective Survivor UL product rates are currently approved and are available for sale as of Monday, June 25, 2012, in all states except: CA, MD, MA, MT, NV, NJ, OR, PA, PR, TX and VT. As these states become available for sale, new transition rules and deadlines will be announced for business within that state.
Please note: Protective Survivor UL will not be available for sale in New York.
