Middle Way House, Bloomington's nonprofit domestic violence center, is in the running to receive a $250,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project.  In order to receive the grant, Middle Way must be one of the top 2 ideas voted on during the month of December. 

 

Please vote everyday in December by visiting www.refresheverything.com/middlewayhouse AND texting "1047471" to Pepsi (73774).  Vote BOTH ways everyday!

  

How will the $250,000 be used?

$ 25,000 Build two rooftop production gardens with rainbarrels and 

   vermiculture
$ 35,000 Seed a new work skills development program based in the

   garden
$ 100,000 Shelter 300 women/families for 30 nights
$ 40,000 Power the shelter with more solar energy
$ 50,000 Historic preservation

Photos with Santa at Fountain Square Mall

Have your professional picture taken with Santa $5 per picture.  $1 of each picture will be donated to a local charity.

Santa and Photo Hours:

Saturdays 10am - 4pm

Sundays Noon - 4pm

Santa will also be at Fountain Square Mall from 1pm - 4pm on December 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24.

Pajamboree, Fountain Square Ballroom, 6pm - 8pm.  FREE

Bring the kids dressed in their pj's for a fun filled night!  Polka Dot the Clown, cookies and milk, a Christmas cartoon, materials for letters to Santa and a special visit from old Saint Nick himself!  FREE.

Advent Lunchtime Concerts - 12:15pm - 12:45

Trinity Episcopal Church Sanctuary - FREE.  Concerts by IU Students and Faculty members in celebration of the Advent season.  Drop in and enjoy the music.

 

The Christmas Music of Mannheim Steamroller by Chip Davis.  2010 Christmas Tour celebrating 25 years!  IU Auditorium, 8pm.

 

Tuesday, December 21 & Wednesday, December 22

 

Wonder Workshop: Techie Crafts, WonderLab Museum, 12noon - 3:30pm, $2 per project plus Museum Admission

Drop in to design your own high tech craft as a gift to yourself or for someone else!  Projects include a light up magnet, a working CD clock, a PC board bookmark, and more!  You are welcome to do more than one project.

A Christmas Carol presented by Cardinal Stage Company.  BAH! Humbug! The Holiday Guide is filled with ideas for your Holiday shopping list--and they are all from local, independent businesses in Bloomington.  Bursting with 32 pages of ideas for a variety of budgets and recipients, the guide also includes a list of events happening in Local First Indiana member businesses on Black Friday and throughout the Holiday Season.

Fundraiser for WildCare at Sublime Design 
Through December 31, Sublime Design will be selling calendar and wild portrait photos. Items range from $5 to $15. All proceeds will go to WildCare, Inc.
