Help Needed on the Bail's Project
| We are one month into the construction of our 8th Habitat Home which we are again building with our interfaith coalition partners in the Habitat Interfaith Alliance. Work began June 16th at the Bail's Project (Colorado Blvd. & I-25) and will continue Thursdays through Saturday and on five Sundays through early September. We really need YOUR HELP! Remember, you need no experience, as Habitat provides all the tools and their supervisors are patient and qualified to teach you what you need to know. To sign up, please go to our coalition website at www.hiadenver.org (then click on the blue "Volunteer to Build" box) or Google hia.volunteerhub.com and you will go directly to the calendar. We are also asking that if you had planned to contribute to the construction of this home, please send in your checks as soon as you can. So far, our coalition has raised about $76,000 of the $85,000 needed to complete the sponsorship of the Kibar-Mohamed home. If you have any questions or need to know what to do with your donation, please contact Molly Frank, franksden@msn.com, 303-692-8359, or stop by the Habitat kiosk on Sunday morning. Thank you! |

| Memorial Reception Committee | The Memorial Reception Committee serves a critical mission at First Universalist: planning and putting on memorial receptions for bereaved families. The MRC needs more committee members to attend to reception details such as set-up, attending to guest sheets, passing out programs, serving, clean-up, and laundering tablecloths. Having a large committee means that your personal schedule can be accommodated. Tish Onsager is also looking for a co-chair for this committee. Co-chair responsibilities include sharing contact with the bereaved family and making sure their requests are fulfilled; plus, ensuring that all foods are purchased and timely delivered to the church. Sign-up by contacting Tish Onsager: 303-757-4321 or onsager@comcast.net, on the website by clicking on Get Connected; then find in the Caring for Each Other category, or by emailing: kim@firstuniversalist.org |

| Name Tags |
 |
|
Please be sure to wear your name tag this Sunday, and every Sunday! We would like First Universalist to be a welcoming and connected community. Many of us see people on Sundays we may not know, and name tags can help us match those faces with a name. Also, seeing names will help our newcomers and visitors feel welcome. If you do not have a name tag, or need a replacement, please fill out a name tag replacement form at the Welcome Desk.
