Japan Disasters: Pray, Donate, Learn
If you're interested in learning more about what Episcopal Relief and Development, the Episcopal Church's international relief and development agency, is doing to help the victims of the disasters in Japan, take a look at er-d.org

In 2009, 85% of donations to Episcopal Relief and Development went directly to providing the most effective ways possible to serve and support people suffering worldwide, so if you're looking to donate money for relief work in Japan, ER-D is a great way to go. You can donate to their Japan Earthquake Response Fund here.

This prayer is by the Rev. Timothy Nakayama, Diocese of Olympia and formerly a priest with NKSS in the Dioceses of Tohoku and Okinawa:

O God, the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, O God, the Son, our Friend and Brother, and O God the Holy Spirit, who Leads us Into All Truth: Pour into our hearts the abundance of your mercy so that We, Your People, gathered together during this holy season of Lent in the Year of Our Lord, 2011, may give from our abundance, to help People in the face of so much destruction, suffering, injury, and death, during the Great Earthquake in Northeast Japan: followed by fires, tsunamis and the threat of nuclear fallout.  We ask this, in the Name of the One who gave His Life that we might live forever: Our Savior, Friend and Brother-Christ Jesus, Our Lord.  AMEN.

Lenten Social Justice Film Festival
Friday Nights in Lent at 7pm

This Friday, March 18:

"For the Bible Tells Me So"

Can the love between two people ever be an abomination? Is the chasm separating gays and lesbians and Christianity too wide to cross? Is the Bible an excuse to hate?

Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American families -- including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson -- we discover how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.

Whether this is your first time viewing the award-winning film, or if you've seen it many times, join the All Saints' Justice Circle this Friday at 7 p.m. for the screening and discussion following.

Our other movies will include , A Day Wihout A Mexican  (4/1), Waiting for Superman (4/8), Hasta La Ultima Pieta (4/15), and a labor film to be determined (3/25).
