Volunteers Needed to Help Coordinate
 Project Homeless Connect!
Project Homeless Connect - Orange County will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 and coordinators are already making plans for the annual event to be even more successful than ever. Now, the planning committee is seeking community volunteers to serve as co-chairs of committees. The following committee co-chair positions are open:
 
Donations Commitee:
The Donations Committee coordinates donations for the event.  This is an excellent opportunity for a faith-based group!  The chair is responsible for organizing and overseeing donations including coats, toiletry kits, and reading glasses, assisting with hair salon coordinators, as well as day-of-event management.

Marketing/Publicity Commitee:
The Marketing/Publicity chair will oversee publicity to the community and the media for the event itself and the need for donations and volunteers.  The chair will coordinate with the volunteer committee, the donations committee, and with the lead coordinator.
 
 Guest Outreach Committee:
The Guest Outreach chair is responsible for getting the word out to potential PHC guests - those in Orange County who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. The chair also oversees the transportation of some guests to and from the event, if needed.  The Outreach Committee will pay particular attention to the northern and rural parts of Orange County and to non-English speaking populations.
 
Arts Committee:
The Arts Committee co-chair will help to plan a fundraising benefit concert prior to the event.
