Chapel Hill 2020: Community Visioning!
Chapel Hill residents are invited to attend community forums, draw on visioning walls, and participate in online surveys as part of "Chapel Hill 2020," a community visioning project scheduled June 1-7. The questions are "What do you value about Chapel Hill now?" and "What are three dreams you have for Chapel Hill in 2020?"
The Town of Chapel Hill project is designed to engage the Chapel Hill community through a range of outreach efforts to both inform and gather public comment on community values and future growth. The information will assist the Sustainable Community Visioning Task Force, a group of volunteer citizens appointed by the Town Council to prepare recommendations on what growth should look like over the next 10 years.

Prison Books Collective at Internationalist!

The Internationalist sponsors a program that sends free books and literature to people incarcerated in Mississippi and Alabama. Book-wrapping takes place every Sunday from 1-4pm at 218 N. Franklin Street Guided Walking Tour!

'A Walk Down Franklin Street,' will be leave from the Horace Williams House every Wednesday and Sunday at 2 pm. Tours are rain or shine. Each tour lasts just over an hour and costs only $5.

Spend the evening on the West End and take advantage of FREE Valet Parking six nights a week! Monday through Saturday - 5:00pm to 11:00pm. Courtesy Valet Parking is provided to patrons of participating businesses with a validated parking receipt. Downtown visitors enjoying other establishments can also use the valet service for a $5.00 charge. Drop cars off at the Valet Parking stand located in front of the UNC Information Technology building (440 West Franklin Street), near the West End Wine Bar. Parking is always FREE in Downtown Chapel Hill every Sunday!
