Note from John -

When disaster strikes, Presbyterians respond.  Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is supported by our One Great Hour of Sharing Offerings each year.  The OGHS special offering empowers the church to respond immediately to  disasters such as the earthquake in Japan, and tornadoes in the South.  The PDA also receives gifts for responses to specific disasters, and organizes work groups. Below are some web links for more information to interpret how the the PC(USA) responds, worship materials, how you can help.   click here to continue

Note from Janet

Stated Clerk Janet Magennis reports that the Presbytery of Lake Michigan has voted at the November 2010 and February and April 2011 stated meetings to approve all the amendments sent to the presbyteries for ratification from General Assembly 219th.  Our results have been reported to the denomination.

While most of the amendments have already received enough votes and have been ratified, voting is still ongoing on the New Form of Government, addition of the Belhar Confession and the change to G-6.0106b.  You may track the voting of presbyteries on these issues via this link:  click here
