Presbytery Meeting Offering

The offering at the Stated Presbytery Meeting on April 12th was designated for the Japan Disaster Relief and $2,383.21 was collected. We are a Missional Church!

Stated Clerk Janet Magennis reports that the Presbytery of Lake Michigan has voted at the November 2010 and February and April 2011 stated meetings to approve all the amendments sent to the presbyteries for ratification from General Assembly 219th.  Our results have been reported to the denomination.

 

While most of the amendments have already received enough votes and have been ratified, voting is still ongoing on the New Form of Government, addition of the Belhar Confession and the change to G-6.0106b.  You may track the voting of presbyteries on these issues via this link:

Theologian and Author Miroslav Volf to Appear at Grand Rapids Westminster Presbyterian Church

 

As a culmination on its Lenten series on forgiveness, Westminster Presbyterian Church is proud to present "Adventure in Forgiveness" a free public lecture presented by world-renowned theologian and author Miroslav Volf.  For more information click here

Retreat for Educators and Clergy--Registration Deadline

 

Set time aside for "A Taste of Sabbath" on May 5 and 6 at St. Francis Retreat Center in DeWitt.  Click here for more information.  Registration (click here) is on the Presbytery website.  The registration deadline is April 20.  After that date the cost will go up from $40 to $50.
