YMCA SportsWorld's compulsory gymnastics team (levels 4-6) line up in preparation for their gymnastics competition.  These athletes compete in meets all over Florida from September through December.

Teddy Bear Ribbon Cutting 

YMCA Teddy Bear Academy VPK students show their excitement during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held to welcome the beautiful new room.

The all girls team led by Janaina Miranda, a former Brazillian volleyball professional, practices at the Stuart YMCA several times a week and travels across the country for volleyball tournaments in competitive level. The girls are from local high schools in Martin and St. Lucie Counties.
 
Pooh Room Valentine's Day Lunch
The Teddy Bear Poohs Class had a lovely lunch with their families the Valentine's Day. The group feasted on homemade pasta, salad and enjoyed lots of good chocolate.
 
 
Water Fitness Cruise

Seventeen YMCA Fitness Fanatics from water aerobics classes cruised to the Western Caribbean on Jan. 13-19 with YMCA instructor Margie Bettendorf. They enjoyed their own water aerobics classes onboard every day as well as shore excursions of river rafting in Montego Bay, power snorkeling in Cozumel, and shopping in Grand Cayman.

The kids from the Pandas class parade through the YMCA with their crazy hats and silly socks to raise money for the YMCA Strong Families Campaign.

  In a recent article, "Bracing for Tough Times", (The Chronicle of Philanthropy, © 2008) the authors narrate the impact our deteriorating economy is having on the state of charitable giving. It is not encouraging! We are seeing the economic impact on our own YMCA Easter House Project.
