Great Art During their study of masterpieces, Mrs. Pontarelli, Mrs. Dumas, and the first grade class took a field trip to the RISD Museum of Art. Students had a wonderful time viewing paintings, drawings and sculptures completed by Monet, Picasso, VanGogh, Degas and other great artists they were studying. The students documented the trip with iPads, and with the help of Mrs. Dumas, created a photo journal using the iPad application Strip Design.
Fire Prevention Week The preschool kicked off fire prevention week with a visit from Cranston firefighter John Casey. He talked about fire safety for school and at home, including "stop, drop and roll." He also put all of his equipment on so the students will not be scared if they see a fully dressed firefighter.
