Share the joy of reading with a child by joining us for a storytime and sing-along.  Children and their grown-ups will enjoy stories and songs that are engaging and foster a love of reading and music. Ages 3 - 5 and open to the public.

The PTL's mentor committee has asked Director of Technology, Tom Adams, to speak at the upcoming parent mingle.  He will be on hand to explain such things as Google calendar and technology across all three divisions to interested parents.  Grab a coffee in Campbell (cash only) and then head to CCR for this special talk.

Fall Classic a Big Hit
Thank you to everyone who participated in the successful Fall Classic this past Monday including the amazing planning committee and volunteers.  We were graced with beautiful weather and an enthusiastic group of tennis players, golfers and dinner guests. Proceeds will support technology, athletics, scholarships/financial aid, and campus improvement projects.

Rally for a Cure
The varsity field hockey team is collecting pink lids from Yoplait yogurt and General Mills cereal for the month of October to raise funds for breast cancer research. There is a jar in Campbell Center in which to contribute lids.

Picture Retake Day

This is a reminder to all ninth grade parents, that students will be having their photos taken by Coffee Pond Photography on Thursday, October 25 during picture retake day.

Trapping Together
Blue Wheeler's sixth grade and Eric Wyzga's fourth grade science classes got together to design and build fish traps this week. 
 
MS Parent Night

A night for parents to go through an abbreviated schedule of their child's classes, and hear from each of the teachers about their courses and expectations. Time will also be spent on the one-to-one iPad program.

will be running multiple workshops with Middle School students next week.  Wellness Collaborative's mission is to promote health and to prevent addiction through wellness-based drug education.  Click here to learn more.

Lower School                                                        
Early Dismissal
Wednesday, October 3  |  12:45 PM
All Lower School students will be dismissed at 12:45 following lunch and recess next Wednesday.  The Lower School faculty uses the afternoon to discuss each and every student, review their individual assessments, and ensure that the socio-emotional and academic needs of each and every child in the Lower School are understood by all teachers and that programming is tailored to help guarantee success.

Extended Day is available on a limited, first-come, first-serve basis.  Please contact Kathy Majkut directly at kmajkut@rockyhill.org if you are interested.

Group Graphing
Last week, Belinda Johnson's third graders and Theresa Conroy's eighth graders partnered up in the Middle School for math class. The topic was graphing. They drew histograms, bar charts and Venn diagrams with the help of the SMARTBoard, posters and squared paper. The results were drawn, questions asked and interpretations made.
