Wish List
During the academic year, it is not unusual for faculty and staff to find that there are things they need to enhance their work with students that are not planned for during the budget process. The Wish List is a place where these needs will be listed in the event a reader might be able to easily donate an item. Gently used goods are welcome and encouraged as we look to reduce, reuse and recycle. If you can fill a wish list need, please contact Beth DeGerlia to discuss your possible contribution. Thank you!

Dishwasher:  Upper School Science Department for washing lab equipment.

K'Nex: The US Science Department would appreciate K'nex sets that children may have outgrown. They use the K'nex to model molecules, and to offer tactile engagement with respiration and photosynthesis.

Middle School

Enviroweek Update
As is the tradition, the Middle School launched the new school year with three event-filled days known as Enviroweek. The sixth grade had their first kayaking experience, paddling into the salt marsh and then all the way around to Goddard Park beach.  They also spent a morning on the URI research vessel Cap'n Bert, learning about the deeper parts of Narragansett Bay.

The seventh grade focused on the fresh water influences that flow into the bay.  They designed experiments to clean up a "toxic" spill, toured the watershed, and also spent a day kayaking in Ninigret Pond.

The eighth grade headed north into New Hampshire for a camping experience and a hike to the summit of Mount Monadnock.  Throughout these experiences, the students are learning about themselves, and making connections with one another and their teachers.  It was a wonderful three days.
