While some of our students have embraced the winter months on the slopes, a few students already have their sights set on spring.

These sixth graders recently created an artificial rice paddy to begin growing rice as part of the Middle School's study of Vietnam in March.

Senior Seminar: Exciting Business - The Role for Young Entrepreneurs

This week, Ira Hernowitz, senior vice president of marketing for Hasbro and parent of Taylor '14, spoke to seniors about his career path and current work. He also led them through a case study on the release of an actual Hasbro product.

Students evaluated the product and five aspects of its marketing process to determine how it could have been more successful. The seniors considered the product, pricing, packaging, distribution channels and marketing communication in their evaluation.

The seniors identified the same issues that Hasbro's marketing department had also identified in analyzing how the product's sales could have improved.

Next week, the School welcomes Valerie Mosley Diamond, senior vice president of Wellington Management Company

The Random Acts of Kindness Box is Back!

Students recognize random acts of kindness throughout their school day by jotting down a note sharing the act they saw and the person who committed it.  Students are recognized by Mr. Laurent, their peers and teachers at the Lower School community meeting.

Professional Development

After yesterday's early dismissal, teachers were afforded valuable opportunities to visit peer schools, attend webinars and research educational practices and programs.  Teachers were able to hone both their craft and programs, making the Lower School even stronger.
