recital 2011 Recital 2011 - 
        Sunday, June 5th 

     Our 16th annual recital will be held Sunday, June 5th in the Mason High School auditorium.  Show times are 1:00, 4:00 and 7:00 pm.  Each show will run just over 90 min.  The list of what class is in which show is in the 2011 Costume Previews on our website. We do our best to keep families in just one show but with so many students and classes it isn't always possible to work that out for everyone.  Company, Jr. Company and P/P ballet classes will be in multiple shows.  We have times for Dress Rehearsal posted on the website as well.  Saturday, June 4th will be our Dress Rehearsal.   P/P Ballet only will also have a Tech Rehearsal on Friday, June 3rd.  Rehearsals June 3-4 are at Mason High School.
The 2011 Costume Preview has song titles, hair styles and required shoes listed.  Tights were included in the bag with most costumes again this year.  If you'd like to have a spare pair just in case, you can purchase them in the office.  You will also need to have the correct shoes for Picture Week.  Group & individual pictures will be taken during class Monday, May 9th through Saturday, May 14th.  No photo purchase is required but we do want everyone included in the group photos.  These class photos will go into the souvenir recital program booklet.
Recital tickets will be available for purchase in mid- May.   You will receive 2 comp tickets from your family recital participation fee at that time as well.  Your recital fee was included in your fees for the year.

Recital T-Shirts & Flowersrecital flowers
        MDC Team Parents' Association once again will be selling recital flowers and T-shirts.  Please see order form for T-shirts by going to this LINK.  Sizing samples for the shirts will be hanging in the lobby soon.  The design is shown in the article above.  This year's shirts will be lime green with the screenprint design in bright blue and navy.  All the MDC dancers will be listed on the back of the shirt.

      The order form for recital flowers is also at this LINK.   The recital flowers are a very nice mixed bouquet. 

Please be sure to send orders to the correct place.  See the order form for details.  Team Parents will be on hand at MDC during much of picture week collecting orders as well.

 

Summer Classes summer
    Our summer schedule is now on our website. This summer we will be offering a three week mini-session in June and a six week session that runs in July/August. June classes will meet twice a week for the 3 weeks. The later session classes meet once a week.  Summer is a great time to sample something new or just keep active with what you love!  We will begin accepting summer registrations on May 2nd.  
Our summer schedule includes 3 adult classes too- ballet, tap & hip-hop.  Moms/Dads, give it a try!  Adult classes are pay as you go or you can purchase a class card and save $.

 

 

trophyCompetition Fundraiser & Update

    Our dancers are selling "Buy it in Lakota/Mason" Coupon Books in April and May.  These are chock full of great coupons for 43 local businesses- restaurants, shops, activities- all sorts of coupons for just $20.  We have a few at the front desk if you don't know a team member. 

Our dancers did well recently at the International Dance Challenge competition held at the Dayton Convention Center on March 19-20.  Great job, Ladies!  We next have our dancers competing this weekend at Masquerade, again in Dayton at the Convention Center.  Then in May a few will go to Applause in West Carrollton for our last competition of this season.  We also have a community performance on May 22.  More details on that soon.

If you'd like more information about our program you can read about it on our website.  Updated information for next season will be posted soon along with complete audition details for the 2011-12 season.  Dancers need to be entering 4th grade to audition.

Group and individual photos will be taken during classes the week of Monday, May 9-Saturday, May 14.
A copy of the price sheet with package information is posted on our website.  Order forms will be passed out the day of pictures. 
 
Don't forget your costume & tights!  And be sure to check that you have the correct color & type of shoes too.  You can check that info on the Costume Preview.
