Are you having communication problems?

Greetings!

Have you had the experience lately where you were talking with someone and you felt like you were not getting through to each other? Communication issues often block us from making progress and can lead to further problems.

As I read the Gospel reading for this coming Sunday I was surprised with the simple exchange between Jesus and the leper, especially since their very brief exchange brought about such great progress!  This Sunday's Gospel reading has the story of a leper who "came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean." Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean." (Mark 1: 40-45).  After this experience the man went out to tell many people about the amazing things Jesus was doing for those in need.

As Christians we believe that Jesus continues to have the power to heal us today.  Whether it is communication problems or something else, let us consider the leper's example of going to Jesus and kneeling down and asking him to heal us.  Let us remember also to give Jesus the credit for the ways in which he is walking this journey with us each day.

2. Student Senate is sponsoring the Day at the Capitol to lobby for the Minnesota State Grant Program. Sign up for a free breakfast and bus ride to St. Paul.

3. Volunteer in the community like we do during the fall Community Day. We have 7 sites that are looking for 70 volunteers.

4. Take your Senior Assessment and the college will waive your graduation fees! If you plan carefully, you can participate in other Community Day activities and still take the Senior Assessment.

Check out all of your options at our Spring Community Day website.

Why did you decide to become a Peer Minister?:
Because I love God and love working with people.  I think Campus Ministry has a lot to add to the College and I wanted to be a part of that.

A piece of advice:
Try not to procrastinate as much as you normally do.  You know you'll always procrastinate, just try not to do it so much

Unique fact:
I can twist my tongue into a 3 leafed clover

What is one thing you hope to learn someday?
To continually learn to not only listen and hear God's voice but to follow it.

For what would you like to be remembered?
I want to be remembered for my smile and laughter.
