ISRAEL DAY PARADE

The upcoming ISRAELI DAY PARADE will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012.  From 11 AM  to 4 PM. Our exact time of marching  has not been established as yet. As usual, we will be marching with the NOW organization and will hopefully have bus transportation down to the city.  The cost of the tee shirt is $7.50.

Last year we had 18 YJC participants.  It would be wonderful if we could do even better this year.  If you have any questions or are interested in joining us, please contact Irene Matza Rubin at matzaru@verizon.net  or call her at 914- 528-4024.

 LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE GIFT?...

The Israeli Committee has recently imported handicrafts decorated with tradional Ethiopian embroidery.

We have  kippahs, mezzuzah and tote bags. They were created by a group of Ethiopian women who live in

Sderot, a city in Israel's northern Negev region, and situated less than 1 mile from the Gaza Strip. Besides fostering pride in their skills, marketing their work enables them to contribute to their family's income. For further information please contact Irene Matza-Rubin at  914-528- 4024.
