OROT-SPONSORED SHABBAT EVENTS COMING UP!
Prayer, is it for me? On Shabbat, February 11
after Kiddush, Rabbi Sternstein will mediate an open

and express your thoughts-it should be fascinating!
Purim is on Wednesday night, March 7. Make sure to
join in the fun with the Megillah reading and our
annual Purimspiel!
Tu Bishvat, the New Year of the Trees and the Jewish environmental holiday, falls on February 8. We

LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE GIFT?...
The Israeli Committee has recently imported handicrafts decorated with tradional Ethiopian embroidery.
We have kippahs, mezzuzah and tote bags.
They were created by a group of Ethiopian women who live in
Sderot, a city in Israel's northern Negev region, and situated less
than 1 mile from the Gaza Strip. Besides fostering pride in their
skills, marketing their work enables them to contribute to their
family's income. For further information please contact
Irene Matza-Rubin at 914-528- 4024.
