GREETINGS FROM THE SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE

                                   THANKSGIVING BASKETS*

If you are participating in our Thanksgiving Basket Campaign (see below for details), please be sure to drop your filled basket off in the lobby on Sunday, Nov. 20th from 10 a.m. to noon. If that is difficult for you, it can be left in the lobby earlier. (Important reminder:Several people can share the cost.)

*Instead of a basket, please use a foil roasting pan, or, if you prefer, place everything - including the roasting pan -- in a very large gift bag.

Each basket should contain enough for a family of 5.  Items: a $20 to $25 gift card for the turkey (via Stacy Mitgang), fresh or canned potatoes or yams, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, brownie mix or cookies, apple juice or another drink, rolls, canned string beans, mushroom soup and canned French onion rings to make a green bean casserole.

Many thanks from your friends on the Social Action Committee.

You can line the inside with a colorful cellophane bag (available at A.C. Moore).

 - Baskets must be delivered to the YJC lobby on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to

noon.  If need be, you can leave them in the coat room before that date.

Each one should be enough for a family of 5.  It should contain:

  • A $20 to $25 gift card for the turkey (via Stacy Mitgang)
  • Fresh or canned potatoes or yams
  • Stuffing mix
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Brownie mix or cookies
  • Apple juice or another drink
  • Rolls

Thank you.  May your holiday table be abundant and delicious!
