Next SWPACDC Meeting March 29, 2007 at 2:30
The next meeting of the SWPACDC is scheduled for Thursday, March 29th at 2:30 p.m.  The  meeting will be held on the 23rd Floor of the  Regional Enterprise Tower, 425 Sixth Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15219.   At the meeting, we'll  discuss the Campaign to Renew Pennsylvania and it's engagement in western Pennsylvania.  We will also highlight two reports being released by the Pennsylvania Economy League and the Brookings Institution.  Please RSVP to Grant Ervin at ervin@10000friends.org by March 28th.
Transportation Impacts Community Investments
PA highway and SchuylkillRecent calls for public transportation cutbacks and limited funding to support road maintence will impact community investments throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.  Governor Rendell's 2007 budget address and the Transportation Funding and Reform Commission have proposed several recomendations to finance transportation investments in the Commonwealth.  Take a look at the 10,000 Friends website to learn more about these proposals and what your community can do to engage in this important debate.
