Insurance Coverage for Shiatsu and Healing Touch
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wouldn't it be nice if your insurance provider covered your sessions? Have you ever thought about whether or not your insurance covers Healing Touch, Shiatsu or other bio-field therapy? In fact, some are covered.
Shiatsu and Healing Touch are two therapies which have insurance billing codes.
They are CBCAE for Healing Touch™ and CBGAI for Shiatsu.
To find out if you have coverage, all you need to do is contact your insurance provider and give them the above codes. They will verify whether or not you have coverage and, if so, for how much.
If you are covered, let me know. I can provide you with a receipt of payment and you submit that to your insurance company for reimbursement to you.
Soon, I will be giving formatted receipts so that if you are covered reimbursement should arrive in your mailbox more quickly. I hope to have this up and running by September.
A last word about reimbursements: get a prescription from your doctor for this work. Yes, doctors do give out scripts for Healing Touch, bodywork and Shiatsu to help with stress/anxiety, relaxation, pain management, post operative care, supporting cancer care and more.
