and will have already begun your fast, juice will be available for you
at Passionate Pursuit. If you begin fasting on the 15th (the day after
Passionate Pursuit), the 21st day of your fast will be the day of
February's Passionate Pursuit. Food appropriate to the Daniel fast, as
well as juice, will be available for you in February so that you are
able to continue your fast through this powerful evening! We will be
closing the fast in February with a unique, Spirit-filled night of
worship and prayer!!

Directions to Passionate Pursuit
 at Piney Woods Country Club:
- Take 59
South out of Nacogdoches.
-
Go approximately 2.3 miles past the
loop to CR 524.
-
This will be the first left after you come to
the grassy median & change to 70mph speed limit.

There is an amber colored street light at the
entrance to the country club.
-
Follow the drive on around and you
will dead end into the Club.

If on Hwy 59 you reach the Woodland Hills
Golf Course (on the left), you have gone too far. Turn
around and follow the Lufkin directions.
From Lufkin: (headed North)
Take 59
North towards Nacogdoches. Go
approximately 1 mile past the Woodland Hills Golf Course to CR 524. You
will see an amber colored street light and stop sign at the entrance from the
road. You will make a hard right into the entrance
of the country club. Follow
the drive on around and you will dead end into the Club.
If you reach the part of 59 with
the center turn lane, you have gone too far.
Turn around and follow the Nacogdoches directions.

Praying Second Timothy
As we pray in concert today, the topic of prayer is 2 Timothy 2:1-2:
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for
kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."
The Holy Spirit has led me to focus our prayers on people in two leadership positions...

Five Steps to Overcome
Discouragement in 2010
God began my first day of 2010 in an unusual, but significant way.
For a couple of weeks I've needed to pull journals from a decade ago in
order to locate the date of a particular event. I woke in the middle
of the night last night and couldn't go back to sleep, so I thought I'd
finally get the task over with and dig out my old journals. My life is
apparently pretty boring because I soon fell back asleep before
perusing much of their contents. New Year's Day grew busy and I didn't
get a chance to return to the journals until the very last thing of the
day.
The more I read, the more blessed I became by the Holy Spirit's
choice of days. Out of all the days and weeks I had been putting off
this task, He chose the first day of the year-a year that is starting
amid many challenging, even discouraging, circumstances. Why this day?
The answer, I don't believe, is just for me...
