Hi,
No tasting tonight but keep reading to learn more about summer events at CWC.

Holiday Hours: July 4th is this Sunday, and we're open as usual, 11am-6pm.

Join CWC on facebook as we send more, if shorter, notices of coming events, new arrivals, drink specials, etc. The CWC website has been redesigned and we're continuing to tweak that one.

It took a while, but we finally received a box of Dishing Up Maryland cookbooks (by Lucie L. Snodgrass). Here is a cookbook that celebrates our local bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood and wine - as well as some of our favorite restaurants. A portion of the $19.95 cost supports CSBA (Chesapeake Sustainable Business Alliance).

Save the date: Sunday, October 17, 2010!

Chesapeake Wine Company will be joining Victoria's Fancy Foods (Severna Park, Maryland) for a special field trip to Black Ankle Vineyards, in Mt. Airy, Maryland. Victoria Stagmer is preparing the movable feast; CWC is arranging the transportation and refreshments. Stay tuned for details like departure times, pricing, etc.
Special Summer Tastings
riesling grapes

Starting on Saturday, July 17th, we're going to offer a few special tastings. I'm thinking four wines instead of our usual eight, but what we give up in quantity will be more than made up for by quality. The first tasting will consist of four exceptional (and exceptionally rare) Rieslings from Germany. The second one (date to be determined by the reaction to the first tasting) will have four wild whites from France, but all from different grape varieties. Space will be limited to the first 12 tasters.

The $100 Case - June Edition
