Greetings!
So much to talk about in the slow month of July as we get ready for the fall!
This week an introduction to e-learning advancements in our Leadership Series and next week the launch of our new website! (More on the website next week).
Think about this: in just four years, Millennials - those born between 1977 and 1997 - will comprise 47 percent of the workforce! It's the Millennials' symbiotic relationship with social technology that indicates they will expect new tools to become integrated with their work and learning experiences.
This is according to Jeanne Meister and Karie Willyerd, co-authors of The 2020 Workplace: How Innovative Companies Attract, Develop and Keep Tomorrow's Employees Today.
Some companies are already integrating internal social networks to further knowledge mapping of employee skill sets, combining this technology with other tools to support rapid access.
According to Computer World magazine, this model enables employees to quickly tap into organizational expertise as needed.
You may now be facilitating conversations and (hopefully!) learning through a campus discussion board, a group on Facebook or Twitter or some other option.
It's not the same old classroom is it??? How do you adapt if you haven't already? |
