Englefield Symphonies Newsletter
Having achieved the successful recording of the
Englefield Violin Concerto by the Slovak Radio
Symphony Orchestra, Englefield Symphonies is
introducing the composer's Three Concerto (audition)
CD. The concertos are for (1)Piano, (2)Cello and (3)
a triparte Concerto for Violin, Viola, Piano and
Orchestra. The sounds eminate from Korg and Roland
sound reproduction equipment used by contemporary
composers during composition.
The composer's love, respect and admiration for the
mature sounds of the viola and wide range of the
magnificent cello spawned the string concerto
compositions. The triparte concerto experience was
preparing the composer for his signature piano
concerto works. Last week, the composer put the
finishing touches on his Concerto for Piano and
Orchestra.
During a luncheon meeting with staff members of the
United Way (Gainesville, Fl.) last week, the
composer was asked about his music. He explained
that much is said about the paradigm of classical
composers from centuries ago. He pointed out that
he was quite satisfied to have been raised during the
20th Century "paradigm". Referring to Debussy, Ravel,
Dvorak, Count Bassie, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton
and numerous others, he said, "My musical
compositions are a blend of the classical tradition
with rhythms and melodies conceived from the 20-
21st Century. They are at times very serious and
quite often enjoyably fun!"
This week the Englefield Concertos CD will be sent to
the major symphony orchestras of the world and to
professionals in the media. Those of you who

Composing ten symphonies over a span of twelve
years is no small accomplishment. Within those
symphonies are four concertos. The Violin
Concerto was performed by Simon James
(pictured below) of the Seattle Symphony with the
Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra in Bratislava
(Slovak Republic). Composing one symphony takes a
year and reflects a monumental effort by the
composer. Our purpose and goal is to share the
accomplishments.

The Composer's Eye For Beauty.........
A composer's eye for beauty is not dissimilar from his
ear for music. A double click on the picture
takes the reader to Mr. Englefield's Editorial
Journal where numerous photographs of the adorable
flowers in his garden are displayed. The composer is
semi-retired and enjoys cultivating his flower garden
as much as he has enjoyed cultivating ten beautiful
symphonies during the past twelve years.
While visiting the Journal you may view other flower
photos by observing and clicking on the titles on the
