Englefield Symphonies, Piano Sonatas and Autobiography
History In The Making in the 21st Century!

A Beautiful Melodist Records in London, Bratislava and the Czech Republic
Autobiography Unfolds the Life & Times of A Gifted Composer
We are so imbued with the mystique of Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky that we find it difficult to believe a new and gifted composer could appear in the 20th-21st Century. Dvorak appeared and composed the New World Symphony. Rachmaninov came to the United States and composed some of the most beautiful scores ever written. Yet another new composer has entered upon the stage during the late 20th Century. His name is Richard Englefield and his symphonies have been recorded in London by the brilliant London Symphony Orchestra.

Many different words are used to describe the music of a composer. The enchanting melodies of Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Rachmaninov and Dvorak framed the contemporary background of composer Richard Englefield. John Boyden, Mastering Engineer for the famed London Symphony Orchestra said, "The music of Richard Englefield must not be ignored." Maestro Kirk Trevor conductor of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and others around the world said, "It is simply fact. Mr. Englefield has gifts." Joseph Firszt conductor of orchestras in Poland and the United States said, "Mr. Englefield's Daybreak in the Forest symphonic suite is quite good enough to be performed by any orchestra in the world." Mr. Englefield's music is neither minimalist or maximalist. None will dare to say he is a contemporay composer. Mr. Englefield's symphonies and piano sonatas are attractively and invitingly melodist in nature. It is said that he is becoming one of the great harp composers of all time.

Richard Englefield comes from a unique class of composers having little or no formal training in music. Only an extremely gifted man could undertake the composition of nine symphonies, three string concertos and twelve piano sonatas with ony two piano lessons in his second grade of school. Six of those twelve piano sonatas are slated for a CD recording performance by Judith Cohen (Seattle Symphony) in the very near future. Other chamber music will be included on that CD.

When a new star appears on the horizon, aficionados of beautiful music must take notice because history is in the making. A new composer with such excellent references by so many famous and illustrious professionals deserves the attention of Maestros, media and instrumentalists throughout the world. We dare not miss the great achievements of the 20th- 21st Century.
