Hiring the "Right" Person

Customer loyalty is the tendency of a customer, in order to fulfill a particular need, to choose one product (or service) over another.  The key word in the definition is choose. Customer loyalty becomes evident when a customer makes a choice and the choice leads to action.  Keep in mind that it is not just a decision or choice, but an action that is taken. 

 

When an organization develops a customer loyalty strategy, they can not focus solely on how happy their customers are.  A successful strategy must focus on getting customers to choose their product and/or service and also getting the customer to make the purchase. 

 

Customer retention programs, that are well managed, result in customer loyalty.  In other words, customers that are targeted by a company retention program demonstrate higher loyalty to the company that targets them versus the competition.  By communicating with your customers you encourage them to remain loyal to your company and take action.
