Get 'em while they're hot! Exclusive, colorful trims, that is.  Turn up the volume on an existing sofa, chair or draperies with new and exciting yarn embroidered borders.  From 3" to 8" wide, choose the right proportion and color combo for the piece you're applying it to.
Wide New trim for upholsteryThese designs can be hand sewn (for an easy change later) or if you're feeling committed, use fabric glue for permanence. We love to miter the 3" wide borders and sew them together to create one of a kind pillows fronts. We recommend velvet for the reverse.  Yummy!  Not sure how to dress up your furniture? Just ask!

What's Old Is New Again
Since the renaissance, skilled artisans have created sparkling, almost magical Venetian mirrors on the tiny Italian island of Murano also known as the "Isle of Glass".   These classic works of art  are hand blown and hand etched using 18th-century designs and techniques.

Gold highlights, beaded glass edging and rosettes are hallmarks of authentic venetian mirrors. Look around your home and see where this stylish mirror would not only enlarge your space visually, but also add sparkle and sophistication. Your entry, powder bath and master bath are all places to show off these stunning masterpieces.

Five Secrets They Don't Want You to Know

You don't have to go undercover to find out what other designers/decorators don't want you to know.  We'll share them  here because the smarter you are as a consumer, the better for everyone.

1. Every week Interior Reflections has access to close-outs and Chandelier tipsdiscontinued products often before they are available to stores and websites.   These gems are terrific buys from quality resources and include fabulous rugs, glittering lighting, sumptuous furniture and impressive accessories.  Other designers/decorators may steer you to a closeout knowing they can get full price.  Tell us what you're looking for and we'll pass these savings on to you.

2.  Designers/decorators don't want you to know you can shop showrooms  that are exclusively "trade only".  You don't have to be accompanied  by a professional to get in. It's ideal to give showrooms a heads up that you're coming to ensure  you're taken care of and that your questions get answered.

cher3.  We've worked with  millionaire clients who could spend any amount of money on their interiors.  Did we recommend Baker, Henredon and Drexel Heritage? Not necessarily. For decades, these high end lines have enjoyed a fine reputation and rightly so.

But over the last 15 years, we've seen many significant changes in the furniture industry landscape as well as the textile industry, among others.  When a designer/decorator solely recommends  brands such as these, be aware there is a wide array of additional choices that compare favorably in terms of craftsmanship and beauty and the investment is one third to one half less.

4.  When  hiring  a professional for a project, ask for and talk to references.  Further, if a designer/decorator  has been sanctioned by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners or sued by a client - you'll want to know the circumstances of that action.  No designer is likely to volunteer this  kind of information in an interview.

5. If a designer/decorator  consumes a 5 hour energy drink, and is known for being an unparalleled  multitasker, maybe he/she can sketch, pull fabrics, frame art, choose flooring and paint for more than one client at a time. If you're investing in design research and planning,  you want to trust that the designer is focusing on your needs and preferences alone.   Individual attention results in the best and brightest outcome for you.

"I have always been happy working with Interior Reflections over the last 25 years.  She's guided us through just about every life stage.

When our daughter got married, she made sure our home was picture perfect for our guests.  Finding special places for inherited treasures when our parents passed away brought us great comfort.

In fact, we won't even start a project without Beth's design expertise. Her creative talent impresses us every time.
