Yum Yum - Silver and Plum
Shake up this holiday season with the latest combo - silver and plum. Silver adds the sparkle and since plum is the result of blending red (warm) and blue (cool) together, you get an inviting hue that works with traditional seasonal colors. Here's creative ideas to bring these great colors home:
- Scrunch up several yards of delicious embroidered plum silk on your holiday table. If you haven't worked with silk before, you'll love how easy it is to artfully arrange.
- Introduce mercury glass candlesticks with plum tapers to any tabletop surface for a rich and regal look.
- Fill up glass bowls, vases and/or champagne flutes with various sizes of frosty white, plum and silver decorative balls. Now's the time to show off your Waterford! And remember all the glass wedding presents you have hidden in a cabinet? Use them this holiday season to add sparkle and good cheer as you welcome guests to your home.

Happy Clients
"This is our first home and we didn't have a lot of money for decorating. We are 'do it yourselfers' but some of our problems defied a solution that worked in real life.
One of our friends told us about Interior Reflections. We met and in less than two hours, we moved our family room furniture around, picked out a new wall color, brought in a rug from our dining room and re-arranged our art and photos. And the best part is we worked with what we already had and didn't have to buy a single thing new."

The slogan for Mardi Gras is "Let the good times roll." But the raucous fest's color palette has a much loftier meaning. Purple (symbolizing justice), green (faith) and gold (power) have been associated with Mardi Gras for more than a century.
The hues were chosen in 1872 by the Grand Duke Alexis of Russia who was visiting New Orleans and given the honor of naming the official colors.
The hues also inspired the school colors for arch rivals LSU and Tulane. When LSU was deciding on its colors, stores in New Orleans had stocked up on purple, green and gold fabrics for an upcoming Mardi Gras. LSU chose purple and gold, buying up large quantities of the available cloth. Tulane purchased the only remaining color: green. |
