Your Fall Color Fix
Royal purple reigns again. It's a color steeped in history with plenty of pathos to go around.. Ancient Greeks rolled out purple carpets for the gods. And in the Roman Empire, purple togas signified elite status. In medieval times, it took more than 20,000 shellfish to make one square meter of dyed cloth (about 42" x 42").
On a lighter note, purple relaxes the body, lowers blood pressure and decreases appetite. Perfect for a bedroom, purple is actually a spiritually healing and purifying color. Just about anything purple adds a touch of instant sophistication to a room.
Feeling like a walk on the wild side? Mix it up with lacquer red, bohemian gold and a dark wood stain. Now's not the time to be shy! Add turquoise accents and you've got a fab color combo.

Beyond The Beauty Contest
Pretty rooms are nice - but let's be honest, pretty doesn't solve design problems. Smart design does. These are some of the intangible ways interior design improves so many aspects of our lives and brings about meaningful change:
- A resort hotel makes you unwind and feel carefree
- A hospital's interior lifts you up and helps you feel better faster
- A home office space that organizes the way you live for years to come.
- A master bath that reminds you of your favorite spa complete with nature's colors and textures
- A renovated office space that increases your work pleasure and productivity and reduces sick days, too

Yes, a pretty face might get you in the door. But interior design is so much more than that. Our clients expect and get creative solutions that work the first time. And remember, we come to you! What could be easier than that?

Fun Fact: Thanks For The Memories
Forget ginkgo biloba. Recent studies have shown that mnemonic phrases are a more effective strategy for recalling strings of facts than rote drills because the phrase provides a context. For example, you may remember Roy G. Biv, the mnemonic used to recall the colors of a rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. |
