Article on "Environmental Auditing and Management Approaches for Compliance" |
The article "Environmental Auditing and Management
Approaches
for Compliance ", by Timothy Wilkins, Partner at
Bracewell &
Giuliani, LLP appears in the February 2008 issue of
Biodiesel Magazine.
Excerpt:

the ongoing efforts of qualified environmental

compliance effort may be periodic audits of a facility's
environmental compliance status."

Trilateral initiative |
The following text is agreed and approved by The
Auditing Roundtable (AR), Board of Environmental,
Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) and The
Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
The Leading organizations in EHS and internal
auditing have joined forces to promote the
professional practice of EHS auditing and auditor
expertise. Collectively, the AR, BEAC and The IIA
provides auditors and stakeholders with resources
such as auditor certifications, codes of ethics, body of
knowledge, and educational and networking
opportunities, for a competent and productive EHS
audit program.
EHS auditing contributes to effective and accountable
corporate risk management. When delivered by
certified professionals, a reliable EHS audit program
adds to the business value by enabling improved
performance, enhancing credibility, increasing
stakeholder assurance, and defining the organization
as a responsible employer and an environmental
steward.
