Greetings!

BEAC is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year! BEAC has achieved remarkable success since its creation in 1997. The CPEA certification has been awarded accreditation by the Council on Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB); The Institute of Internal Auditors' Board of Regents has accepted the CPEA designation for their CIA exam, Part IV; and CPEAs qualify for professional membership status by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

  • Call for speakers - ASSE 2008 conference

    The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has issued a "call for speakers" for their 2008 Professional Development Conference. The Call for Presenters is available on the ASSE website. On the ASSE homepage, if you scroll until you see Call for Papers for Safety 2008 then click for further details you will find considerable information including a sample proposal, guidelines and other information useful in submitting a proposal. The deadline to submit proposals is JULY 31, 2007. The 2008 PDC is scheduled for June 9-12, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.


    Performance Institute Summit

    The Performance Institute is holding its 7th annual Environmental Performance Summit on October 3-5, 2007 in Arlington, VA. The summit will assist environmental performance managers, natural resource managers and other environmental specialists in improving environmental quality by developing meaningful performance measures.

    BEAC is a professional certification board that issues the Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) designation to qualified EHS auditors. Certification specialty programs include Environmental Compliance; Health & Safety; Management System; Responsible CareŽ.

    BEAC evaluates the academic and professional experience and qualifications of EHS auditors, administers examinations relating to EHS auditing knowledge and skills, establishes recertification standards in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and sets the standards related to the practice of environmental, health and safety auditing. BEAC certification demonstrates the competency, professionalism, and ability of EHS auditors and is fully accredited by the Council on Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB).

    BEAC CPEAs are recognized by The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) for their professional accomplishments and qualify for Professional Membership status with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).


    The Auditing Roundtable to celebrate 25 years!
    The Auditing Roundtable will host its fall conference September 4 - 6 in Philadelphia, PA, at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing.
