Sponsor Thank You
Time Fairy LLC
Special thanks to Paym Weaver, The Time Fairy, who has generously agreed to give our members rides to our meetings at no charge.

On the Discussion board in our private web group, you can indicate if you need Paym to pick you up for one of our meetings. She's a true "road warrior" and goes all over the Portland area.

Since it may take a bit of coordinating to get everyone picked up, don't wait too long to let her know if you need your help. At the same time, don't hesitate to call if you need The Time Fairy to wing your way in a time of need!

Just give Paym a call at (503) 530-9651.

Clever Newsletter Title
DECEMBER 2011
Greetings!

You may have noticed that we still need some help coming up with a title! We'd love it if you could send in your suggestions for a name for our newsletter. Feel free to just reply to this email for sending those in.

We are in the process of filing for non-profit status! That means that soon, any donations that you make will be tax-deductible. We'll keep you posted for when that is final.

Don't forget! Starting this month we'll be meeting at The Frida Center for Fibromyalgia in their studio. There is plenty of parking and the studio is a really great space with cork floors! You may want to bring a blanket and pillows and sit on the floor. (Tamara is seriously considering this option!) The Frida Center has some great directions and a map on their website here.

PS... Think of one person with fibromyalgia or ME/CFS who has told you, "I wish there was some support for people like us!" and  to him/her.

Weight Loss and Fibromyalgia: Can it be Done? Would it Help?
Tami Stackelhouse

This Monday, Dec 12th, 6-7:30 PM

Do you feel like you'll never be able to get control of your weight because of your fibromyalgia?

Join our December webinar with Fibromyalgia Coach, Tami Stackelhouse, and learn why it's not your fault!

Tami will be sharing some underlying issues unique to fibromyalgia that cause us to gain weight and have trouble losing it again. She will cover how to discuss those issues with your doctor and other support people in order to successfully lose your extra weight; she'll also give you tips on what actually works for fibromites. She even has some studies to share that have been done regarding fibromyalgia, diet, and weight loss!

Weight loss is a little known secret to reducing fibromyalgia pain. Get the facts and find some hope!

If you can't make the webinar, be sure to join our private web group so that you will have access to the recording after the event!

Holiday "Potluck" Party

Saturday, December 17th, 1-4 PM

Beginning this month, meetings will be held at The Frida Center in "The Studio"! Get directions and a map here.

Let's get-together in December and enjoy each other's company!

This month's meeting is a "potluck" party where we can relax and spend some time getting to know each other.

Please bring a dish to share. It would be great if you could provide an ingredient list as many of us have various food allergies and sensitivities.

Beverages will be provided.

November Meeting Recordings Posted
Jennifer Hofmann, Inspired Home Office
Jennifer Hofmann, Inspired Home Office

Jennifer Hofmann, from Inspired Home Office, spoke at our November 19th meeting about how the first priority in getting things done is practicing good self-care, including how we talk to ourselves. It is the fuel that allows us to then focus on our project or tasks.

On November 14th, we had The Practical Fibromite with "Holiday-Related Stress and Self-Care." Michelle shared some wonderful, down-to-earth and easily implemented suggestions for us that are sure to keep our holidays more stress-free. This means fewer flares, less fatigue and more fun. Who wouldn't want that?
