Dayton, Ohio is a community known for its progressive spirit that combines innovation and hard work to solve problems both big and small. With a great history of scientific and industrial advancement (circa 1900, Dayton had been granted more patents per capita than any other U.S. city), the residents of Dayton are credited with the invention of many game-changing products, materials, and processes.
Some of the well-known and little-known Dayton inventions include: the airplane, the artificial heart, air conditioning, the cash register, cellophane tape, chrome plating, the digital clock, ethyl (lead) gasoline, the frostproof freezer, gas masks, the ice cube tray, the ink jet printer, laser weapons, the mood ring, push-in pull top cans, radar detectors, ring-pull can openers, safety glass, self-cooled refrigerators, the automotive self-starter, semi-conductor computer memory, space-to-earth photo transmissions, the stepladder, storage batteries, and many others.
And many of these inventions have led to the birth of such iconic Dayton manufacturing legends as: The Wright Airplane Company (founded by the Wright Brothers), National Cash Register (NCR), Delco (later Delphi), Barney & Smith Car Company, Mead (later MeadWestvaco), Reynolds and Reynolds, Standard Register, Frigidaire, Dayton Wire Wheel, Huffy Bicycles, Monarch Marking, and many others.
Now as the 21st century takes off, Forgeline Motorsports is very proud to be part of Dayton's manufacturing heritage and to leverage Dayton's culture of innovation and productivity. In our Dayton, Ohio facility, Forgeline manufactures the world's finest custom-made high-performance lightweight automotive wheels using complex manufacturing techniques, cutting-edge engineering technology, and advanced materials (such as forged 6061 heat-treated aluminum).
To honor this heritage and to celebrate Forgeline's place among manufacturing legends, Forgeline Motorsports is sponsoring the Wright "B" Flyover at the Dayton Concours d'Elegance on September 16, 2012 at 12:00 noon. As a gathering already dedicated to honoring yesterday's great advancements in transportation, the flyover by the Wright "B" Flyer (a replica of the Wright brothers' first production airplane, the Wright Model B Flyer) is a perfect way to pay tribute to Dayton's contributions to both transportation and manufacturing.

Forgeline is well known for making our own center lock conversion kits that allow standard multiple-lug hubs to be converted to a single center locking "knock off" design. So most people realize that we make center locking versions of our wheels. (After all, we obviously need to make wheels that will work with our own Forgeline conversion kits.)
But what you may not realize is that we can also make any of our wheels with a center locking option to fit other center locking hubs too, including factory original equipment fitments from Porsche and Ferrari. So no matter what your center locking application may be - Porsche, Ferrari, or other exotic racing applications - Forgeline can make a center locking wheel for your application.
All of our wheels are custom made-to-order, so please contact us for more information or to make arrangements for your next set of wheels.
