Educational consultant, Bill Dingledine, will present our initial Lunch and Learn on September 14 from 11:30-1:00 PM. He will discuss how to make an easier transition from middle school to high school, how to develop stronger study skills, course selection, and participation in activities to make the most of the middle school and high school experience. |

The theme is "Diversity Means..." and entries need to be turned in by October 5th. Students/parents can go to the website http://www.ptareflections.org/cs/student_entry_form to print out entry forms and parent permission forms. |
Guidance Advisory Committee (GAC) Clothes Closet Needs |
The Guidance Department's Clothing Closet is in need of new or gently used dress code shirts and belts for girls and boys. All collared shirt sizes and colors are needed: red, blue, white or black-- youth and adult sizes small to XXL. The Guidance Advisory Committee (GAC) is working on organizing the closet this month and would also appreciate the donations of shirt and pants hangers. Please bring all donations to the front office and note they are for the Guidance Department. Thank you! |
Student Arrival and Departure Reminders |
Students should never be dropped off or picked up in front of the school or alongside Rice Street. Recently, we have had several incidences of parents violating this policy and creating a safety risk for our community, and especially for their own child. Disciplinary action will be taken if the policy is violated.
Also, use of cell phones (talking or texting) in a moving carpool line is prohibited. For the safety of our students, please be respectful of this policy.

New Greenville County Schools Check-In Guidelines |
Safety procedures are being further enhanced this year with the new electronic School Check In System. Parents/Guardians and others entering a GCS school or office building must sign in through the system, which automatically runs a check against the National Sex Offender Registry. Everyone is checked EACH time they visit a school or office.
Parents can either sign in as a Parent/Guardian (receives a Visitors badge) or Volunteer (receives a Volunteer badge) depending on the purpose of their visit to the child's school.
A person is eligible to volunteer through the school, PTA, and other school organizations once cleared through the National Sex Offender Registry. The Sex Offender Registry is in addition to any volunteer procedures used by our school, PTA, and other school organizations to recruit and train volunteers.
Also, please be reminded that volunteers must participate in training prior to volunteering.
