Religious Education Congress 2012

The Los Angeles Religious Education Congress is the largest annual gathering of its kind in the world. The four-day event is held at the Anaheim (Calif.) Convention Center and is sponsored by the Office of Religious Education, a department of the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Attendance has grown steadily year after year and now reaches 40,000 including the Youth Day preceding the three day Congress for adults.  This year's Congress offers over 200 speakers and over 300 workshops.

CCOP parishioners can order CD audio recordings of many of this year's workshops.  The cost will be $9.60 (tax included) per CD.

A suggested way to select CDs:

* At the bottom of the first page, click on Workshops.

* Click on Period 1.  The workshops that will be recorded on CDs are indicated by a headphone symbol.  Select the ones you wish to purchase by scanning and copying the session number and workshop title onto a blank Word document.

* Repeat this process for Periods 2 through 8

* If you have selected more than you can afford, remove some from your list

* Order your CDs by sending your list of selections with your name and phone number in an email with the Subject "CD order" to socialjustice@catholicsofpleasanton.org

Two members of the Social Justice Committee will place a single order for all the CDs requested and will pick up all the CDs at the Religious Education Congress (avoiding shipping charges and getting a reduced rate).

Parishioners will pay by check payable to CCOP with note "RE Congress CDs".  CDs can be picked up at the office in St. Elizabeth Seton after March 29.
