"Camera Man" by Mark Fredenburg
|
Please join the Albuquerque Arts Board and Public Art Program Staff as we celebrate the addition of "Camera Man" to the public art collection. Created by artist Mark Fredenburg, Camera Man references society's increasing tendency to photograph every moment of their lives and the universal urge to pose in front of a lens. However, it also references archeology and ancient civilizations. Upon closer inspection of Camera Man, the viewer can "unearth" temples and pyramids of the Mayans. The dedication ceremony starts at 10am on October 10th behind the Balloon Museum overlooking Balloon Fiesta Park.
