Attend the Center of the City
Dedication Ceremony
June 14th at 2pm!

Center of the City Markers

The Center of the City markers were designed by artist Yamilette Duarte of San Miguel, New Mexico, and were poured in iron at Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. They commemorate the geographic centers of Albuquerque in 2012 (near Coronado Park) and when New Mexico became a state in 1912.
The dedication ceremony will take place at the 1912 site, on 4th Street between Central Ave and Gold Ave, right in front of Amy Biehl High School, at 2:00pm. Come celebrate Albuquerque's newest public art project and help kick off the Centennial Summerfest Celebration!
